Zone 5 in the City: Art Sustaining Nature
a temporary site-specific installation exhibitionJane Tsong with Moises Hernandez and Anthony Zapata – The Water Cycle Speaks
Our team will be designing graphics to be mounted on Debs’ water fountains and faucets. These graphics will express the life cycle of the water we use from rain to the ocean.
Jane Tsong’s proposals for site-specific gardens have been finalists for public art commissions in Astoria, Oregon, the City of Ventura and the City of Los Angeles. Her map of the Los Angeles water cycle appears in “An Atlas of Radical Cartography”. Currently, Tsong is working on a permanent piece, set to open in 2011, for the Brightwater Wastewater Treatment Plant in Seattle.
Location:
Water fountains by pepper tree, water fountains in courtyard, and faucets in restrooms.
